NOT on a DIET.... and LOVING IT!!!
United States
Description name is Bonnie and I started with FL on 8/18/13.  I have been married for 30 years to a wonderful guy, and have two grown sons that I love dearly.  On Jan. 14, 2012, I decided to get healthy and began using one of the pre-packaged meal diets.  I had done WW and other diets, but they were always with people from work and were more like a competition.  I would lose the weight and then everything would stop…no maintenance plan, so the weight would come back.  In Jan. 2012, I decided to do this for me.  It worked well until around April 2012.  I had lost 30 lbs., but I started to get sick from the food, and had to stop.  I continued on my own and by July 2012, had lost 50 lbs.  As some of the weight started to creep back slowly, I was bound and determined not to let that happen, so I started exercising more…and then more.  I think I saw my treadmill more than I saw my husband Smile.  I actually burned the motor out and had to get a new one.  As the months went by, I was not eating more, but  I also was not losing what had crept back on.  So, I thought the answer was that I needed to exercise even more.  By May 2013, I was on my treadmill sometimes 4-6 miles or more a night without taking any days off to recover.  I knew that I was on a path of disaster and at 48, I was not going to be able to keep up that kind of exercise much longer.  Worse yet…the next step would be to keep doing this and start gaining weight….so I ordered the program to try and reset EVERYTHING.  The first week I was scared to death.  I cut my exercise to 30 mins. 3 times a week…and I was eating foods that I would not have dreamed of eating over the last 18 months.  From the pre-packaged diet, I was already used to eating snacks between meals and drinking a healthy amount of water so that was not too big of an adjustment.  When I initially started that program it was hard for me…I had to set an appointment on my calendar at work to remind me to eat my snacks.  I journaled, but my pages looked like cash register tapes…all numbers..all calories.  Well about 1.5 weeks into the 21 MM, I started to think there may be something to this.  So far I have lost 10.2 lbs. and have about 8 to go, but the BEST thing is that exercise is now just an enjoyable part of my day about 4 – 5 times a week, instead of what I base my eating and entire daily schedule on.  Now I am exercising in one week what I used to do in about 1 night.  Exercise is no longer running my life.  Prior to this program, I was never really happy because I felt I had to keep searching for what would allow me to stop all the exercise and control my weight loss.  Now I can say that I am truly happy and feel like this is a lifestyle I can maintain now and as I age gracefully Laughing.

My goal is to be as close to 125 lbs as I can be
Feeling great about myself again!
